Question
Will new chemical substances that are regular registered under Order 12 definitely be listed in the "Inventory"?

Answer
Yes. The procedures for listing in the "Inventory of Existing Chemical Substances in China"  is simplified under Order No. 12 and the five-year activity report requirements will be eliminated. For new chemical substances that have obtained a regular registration certificate, shall be listed in the "List" in five years from the date of their first registration by the competent department of ecological and environment under the State Council and an announcement shall be made. For PB, PT, or BT new chemical substances, their permitted uses shall be indicated when they are listed in the "Inventory". For highly hazardous new chemical substances and new chemical substances of PB, PT or BT, when they are listed in the "Inventory", environmental management requirements other than the annual report shall be specified.

It is valid until the substance is listed in the "Inventory".

Will the CAS number appear on the registration certificate?

Answer
If the applicant does not choose information protection, the CAS number of the substance will appear on the registration certificate.

No. Need to be proposed by the applicant.

Yes. The Order 12 clearly stated that the protection period of the identification information such as the names of new chemical substances shall not exceed five years from the date of first registration or filing.
