2014 Eco-testing institute Seminar

Sponsored by China MEPSCC, hosted by Shanghai Academy of Environmental Sciences (SAES), the Eco-lab New Chemical Substance Testing Seminar was held successfully in December 2014 in Shanghai. This annual seminar is known as “Pro Meeting” in the industry, where the eco labs exchange testing technology and experience. Previously, the meeting was only confined to the labs. 2014 is the 10th anniversary of this meeting and was the first time this “pro meeting” opened to “outsiders”. Notifiers and consulting agencies were invited to the meeting, providing a good a platform for the information exchange on new chemical testing.
Deputy Director, Mr. Du, of Chemicals Administration Division, Pollution Prevention and Control Department, MEP, and Dean Gao from MEPSCC addressed at the meeting. All representatives made enthusiastic discussion on twelve topics of testing method, GLP management, international conventions and minimum data requirements of chemical notification.
BoardingCard, as the only representative of Consulting Agency, also addressed the meeting. Based on our long-term experience in the industry and real cases sharing, we provided our own opinion on testing work and discussed with the experts from labs on the difficulties of chemical testing and the possible solution in the revision of the Guidance.
This seminar provided an excellent platform for labs, agencies and notifiers, which enhances the communication between each party, boosts the professional level of related staff and made contribution to the perfection of regulation and administration of China environment!
